This may seem like it’ll limit you. It won’t, not for a long time. Unless you’ve got millions to play with, you will be fine if you narrow your audience further. Just don’t focus on a niche that’s declining or that’s a trend (IE Pokemon Go). 

  

Anyways, when you narrow down your audience, you can be the go to brand for them. Instead of a weight loss guru for the world, you’re the weight loss guru for busy professional women. 

  

It’s a subtle difference but your audience will pay premiums to work with you when you’re the expert for them. 

  

2.       Use quizzes and surveys to figure out your major segments

  

Once you narrow down your audience, you need to segment them into different groups. The groups aren’t always obvious and guessing isn’t the best way to go about it. 

  

Use surveys and quizzes to ask your audience what they’re struggling with. You get bonus points if you use a quiz because it’s good for you and fun for your audience.
