Job Description: 

As a backend engineer, you know your job is critical but isn’t appreciated as much as those working with consumer-facing technologies. We understand your role. We appreciate what you do. At KyLeads, we’re looking for senior backend engineers that are talented, driven, and can own our architecture and make it so beautiful that it wins awards.

You’re a process-oriented individual that doesn’t know what it means to cut corners to meet a deadline. At the same time, you meet deadlines consistently.

We code primarily inVuejs and Laravel and as a backend engineer, you’ll be working intimately with the Frontend Engineer. DevOps is your friend, continuous deployment is expected, and quality trumps everything else. 

You can expect to have regular meetings with your team lead and other developers to discuss best practices and how you can grow as an engineer. 

You should also know how to write (or be willing to learn) because you’ll publish about your work and or KyLeads culture at least once a month.

Requirements 

Must haves: 

1. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent training
2. 4 years+ experience as a software engineer
3. Ability to understand and debug large and complex code bases
4. Comfortable with multiple programming languages and data storage systems
5. Experience developing and using APIs 
6. Excellent problem solving, communication, and critical thinking skills
7. Ability to work in a team environment but take ownership of your projects independently
8. You move fast and care about the quality of work you produce
