Job Description:

We believe that design is life. It’s a competitive advantage and we embrace it wholeheartedly. A senior front end engineer at KyLeads is the glue that holds complex backend engineering in place for the end-user. Your role is indispensable so we’re looking for someone who considers themselves the best at what they do. A motivated individual with huge amounts of potential that looks at complex UI/UX challenges with joy.

You’re able to merge the art of design with the art of programming to create unique experiences for all stakeholders involved. We believe this requires empathy in design as well as a deep understanding of UI/UX.

Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. At times, you’ll be required to design them yourself. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

We code primarily in HTML, CSS, JS (Vanilla, Jquery, Vue) and you’ll be working intimately with the Backend Engineers.

A senior front end engineer will:

  • Develop new user-facing features
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders (back-end developers and web designers) to improve the usability
  • Design mobile-based features
  • Get feedback from, and build solutions for, users and customers
  • Write functional requirement documents and guides
  • Create quality mockups and prototypes
  • Help backend developers with coding and troubleshooting
  • Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
  • Mentor, support, and train junior team members
  • Code primarily in HTML, CSS, JS (Vanilla, Jquery,  Vue)

We have a multidisciplinary team that works across design, front-end, and back-end. It’s what keeps us agile and competitive. We don’t want a candidate that’s too specialized in one area. The successful team member will be able to do many things well and they’re always open to learning.

Words we hate: “That’s not my job."
