Our team calls us the most chill place to work and build impactful products while having a meaningful stake in the outcome. You know, you’re more than just a cog in the machine. You should know us as a rapidly growing software company that takes care of its people while giving them room to grow and develop.

Job description:

We believe design is life and as our web designer/developer, you play a key role in translating our go-to-market strategy into visual branding that nurtures leads into long-term, successful customers. You’ll hold primary responsibility for designing and developing our marketing website. This includes design, both graphic and layout, and website development.

You’ll represent the KyLeads brand across many visual design projects and mediums which could include anything from landing pages, ultimate guide micro-sites, interactive tools, blog posts, and other things we haven’t thought up yet. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best designers, marketers, and strategists in the industry.

The story of KyLeads is the story of real people that approach their work as art. Each member of our team consistently strives for excellence, and always seeks to perform at the top of their field. When we build things, we do it for the sake of the art just as much as for the sake of the project. We believe great marketing is only truly as great as the design that complements it.

A web designer at KyLeads will:

  • Serve a key role in holding primary responsibility for KyLeads marketing website and its related properties.
  • Create conversion-optimized landing pages, micro-sites, WordPress templates, interactive tools and more from the ground-up: from strategy and wireframes, to design and web development.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize the technical aspects of our WordPress CMS.
  • Measure key performance indicators by implementing event-driven analytics to evaluate the success of your designs and offer strategic suggestions to improve results. What we ship is only as good as the results it produces.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand goals, and build environments that empower the team to self-serve as often as possible without needing your assistance. Understand how to build templates and frameworks that help you scale yourself.
  • Demo work in process and proactively seek feedback with a positive outlook. Develop multiple versions of wireframes, layouts, and designs as necessary from which to receive feedback.
  • Conduct graphic (Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Suite) and layout design, while keeping conversion design in mind.
  • Design front-end web components using HTML and CSS; also utilizing JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP.
  • Develop and optimize interaction with back-end databases and APIs.
  • Support Product Marketing in brand positioning and strategic marketing initiatives, as well as all marketing teams.
  • Create consistent visual designs (graphics, logos, illustrations, etc.) across various promotions.
  • Stay (and keep us) up to date on design, brand, and marketing trends.
  • You ship every day.

We have a multidisciplinary team that works across design, front-end, and back-end. It’s what keeps us agile and competitive. We don’t want a candidate that’s too specialized in one area. The successful team member will be able to do many things well and they’re always open to learning.

Words we hate: “That’s not my job."
