KyLeads Product Updates April 2020

Daniel Ndukwu

Welcome back to another edition of the KyLeads product updates.

This time around we focused on expanding our integrations and making it easier to get up and running with KyLeads after signing up.

Let’s dive in and talk about what’s new.

Moosend integration

Moosend is a growing email marketing service that boasts customers from all over the world. We’ve been able to establish a direct integration with the service which makes it easier to send contacts from KyLeads to Moosend.

Now, if you’re using Moosend to manage email contacts, you can push new subscribers and leads directly to Moosend and add them to specific lists, launch automations, and all of the good stuff that comes with automation and segmentation.

The setup process is straightforward. That’s in part due to Moosend. Many other platforms require you to find 6 different codes or otherwise jump through hoops. Not Moosend.

You can view more information here and if you’ve been waiting for a sign before giving KyLeads a spin, this is that sign.

HubSpot Integration

HubSpot is the 1,000-pound gorilla in the marketing world. It tries to do everything and succeeds in some areas. We’ll be honest, we think we make better popups 😉. And they also don’t make quizzes.

We set our development team on it for a while and, after putting in the work and troubleshooting it because software is unruly, the integration is all set. You can view more info here.

You’re able to send new contacts directly to HubSpot and start following up with them immediately. You can also segment and launch new automations. You know how you use HubSpot to optimize your marketing campaigns. We’re just here to facilitate so we’ll get out of your way.

iContact Integration

iContact is an email marketing service that’s been around (and evolving) for a number of years. You can do everything you’d expect from a mature email marketing service such as segmenting contacts, setting up automations, and personalizing your messages.

In short, it’s the perfect complement to KyLeads. One of the draws of our platform is the ability to segment contacts based on how they answer quiz questions and send personalized follow-up messages to them.

iContact gives you the tools to take that a step further. The integration is a bit more difficult than we’d like because of the format needed to connect them. Don’t let that discourage you. Once you get them connected, you’re able to unlock the true power of both KyLeads and iContact. You can get more information here.

WordPress Plugin

We’ve finally gone and built a simple WordPress plugin that makes it much easier for you to add the popups scripts to your website. Previously, you’d have to add it to your header. Some people weren’t technical and our team spent many moons helping customers add the script to the right place or recommending tools to make it work.

Today, we’re happy to announce a WordPress plugin that makes it simple to get the KyLeads header code installed on your website. It’ll be on the WordPress directory soon. For now, it’s available to download from the KyLeads app and when you’re signing up for the first time.

Speaking of signing up for the first time, we’ve revamped our onboarding flow.

New Onboarding flow

You spoke and we listened. It was a bit difficult to get started with KyLeads because there were some things you needed to do like add your website and email marketing service. These things, though explained at various places, weren’t exactly intuitive.

We’ve made it intuitive.

Now, when you register for KyLeads, there’s an onboarding wizard that walks you, step-by-step, through adding your website, connecting your email marketing service, and creating your first popup or quiz.

When I did the math, you can be up and running in less than 5 minutes flat.

Google Login

The whole world has a Google account – right? Even if they don’t, enough people have an account with Google across its many services that adding a Google log in option made sense for us.

This is doubly true because many companies use the Google product suite to manage the company email addresses and make sure everything runs smoothly.

Starting today, you’re able to log in and register with your Google account. This should reduce the friction required to sign up and remove a password you have to remember. Let us know if you’d like us to add any other social log ins like Twitter or Facebook to the mix.

Miscellaneous updates

As is the nature of software, we were busy squashing bugs. I won’t bore you with the details of that but just know KyLeads is much more stable these days and can handle whatever you throw at it (most of what you throw at it).

We’re constantly working towards a better product and your feedback means everything to us so shoot us an email or chat with us within the app. You’ll likely see your requests added rather quickly.

Until the next update.
